In 1967, Charlie "Astoria Chas” Snyder brought a new 1967 Corvette 427 to Joel Rosen of Motion Performance to be modified for the track and tuned. KO-MOTION, as it was named, was outfitted by Rosen with a L88 engine, professional gold leaf lettering, and sponsor graphics from Motion, CARS Magazine, Baldwin Chevrolet, and the Motion Supercar Club. Charlie always dreamed of holding a national drag racing record, but his life was cut short a month after he was sent to Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. In his memory, Charlie’s family and friends continued his quest racing his car all across the US. After being trailered and stored for over 30 years, the original car is now owned and preserved by KO-MOTION’s biggest fan; a man named Glen Spielberg.
